Plant Operator

We are currently seeking to recruit a Plant Operator with electrical or mechanical experience to join our team in the operation of a Gas to Grid Anaerobic Digestion Plant on the Isle of Wight

Reporting to the site manager your role will involve assisting in the day to day operation of the plant, carrying out planned and curative maintenance to minimise downtime.  Additionally, this position will be hands on and include, loading of feedstock, where you will be responsible for the safe operation of a wheeled loading shovel within a 'zero damage' environment.


  • Work with colleagues to support planned and corrective maintenance and repair activities
  • Complete sampling and quality checks using the lab equipment where required.
  • Completing daily checks and log book, visitors sign ins;
  • Monitor plant control system (SCADA);
  • Monitor feedstock quality and digestate volumes;
  • Fill the hopper in line with feed ration;

This will be a full time position and the salary will be in line with your experience. Work hours are based on a rota and you will be required to cover some weekends & nights on call.

Training will be provided in all aspects of Plant Operation however, electrical or mechanical engineering experience will assist greatly in this role.
