ERMC have a vacancy for an Apprentice Business Administrator to work in their Quantity Surveying department for someone working towards their level 2 or 3 qualification.

 Job Description

ERMC are looking to recruit an apprentice to support and assist within the The Quantity Surveyance team. You will need to be self-motivated with good inter-personal/communication skills and be flexible in both your approach to work and hours of working. 

The successful candidate will have an understanding of the trade terms used within the building industry, they will also be able to look at 2D plans and see them as 3D. They will have an excellent grasp of EXCEL spreadsheets and a Level 2 in Maths. The successful candidate will also need a driving license as they will be required to travel around the sites on the island at times.

During your employment you will receive on the job training learning from experienced officers and you will complete a Level 2 or 3 in business administration dependant on your entry qualifications. The experience and qualification gained during the apprenticeship will be a great asset to anyone looking for a career in Quantity Surveying.

Core Tasks:

  1. To deal with telephone and email enquiries, responding promptly with requests.
  2. Use computer systems to update 
  • On the job training with a dedicated mentor
  • HTP expert assessor in business administration to; deliver qualification units, observe,collect work portfolio evidence and provide information and training

Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm and Friday 8am to 1pm.
