We have an opening for a senior level finance specialist, within a well established financial services team here on the beautiful Isle of Wight.  

This company cares deeply about their customer base, creating unique and bespoke solutions to a wide variety of clients, and due to increasing demand for their services, they now require a Partnership Accountant to support the partners in their obligations.

Focused predominantly on reports and returns, this role also offers scope for working with external clients long term, and has an excellent path to promotion for the right individual.  

Due to the nature of this role, we are seeking a Partnership Accountant who has a track record of managing time-centric workloads efficiently and responsibly, in a pro-active and enthusiastic way.

Key duties will include: 

  • Preparing financial reports and statements
  • Preparing regulatory reports and returns
  • Dealing with work supporting Senior Partner
  • Personal clients and responsibilities
  • Working on business planning and strategy
  • Liaising with business heads and Senior Partner to track performance
  • Adhoc tasks to support the growth and development of the business

To succeed in this role you will need to fit the following criteria

  • ACA/ACCA at least 2 years post qualification at least
  • Confidenct preparing consolidated reporting packs and statutory accounts
  • Detailed contemporary knowledge of current accounting standards
  • Financial services knowledge in the regulated sector an advantage
  • Able to pass a 'Fit and Proper' test
  • Good knowledge and working examples of Corporate and Personal taxes 
  • Confidence to take responsibility for making returns
  • Excellent financial modelling skills
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills

This role is not a staff management position, and we are specifically seeking applicants who are keen to further their career in accountancy long term. Those with experience of project managing to deadline, and efficiently working on a variety of projects simultaneously will have a distinct advantage.
